Lessons have been run at the King Edmund School by Denise Kemp since 1990 when the lessons were council run. When the council withdrew their funding in 1994 the swimschool became independent and Kingfishers was born.
The swim school is a family run business with Denise, Ann and Hazel (ASA Level 2) running the majority of the lessons with their children acting as poolside assistants and level 1 teachers.
